lots of times when i reblog ur work they animate on the dashboard but not on my site :[

saw it a lot of times - and its always sad.
my gif’s are often close to the maximum file size allowed by tumblr for gifs (500k). i don’t know exactly, but I can assume, that some of the tumblr-templates are resizing images, and since they use another algorithm for compression, the final images are often bigger than 500k, and get restricted by tumblr. one of my semi-secret wishes for 2010: lifted restrictions for gifs here on tumblr+
